If you come to visit: Puck's Donuts

I'm starting a new series on the blog called If you come to visit. I'm always talking with dear friends from all around (Brooke, the next time you're not in Africa, how 'bout it?!), about all the fun we'd have if they came for a visit. But, you know how it is. Life is busy. People don't tend to make it out here. So, I thought I'd start posting some enticements. :)

Taylor and I love company. Plus, you'd really have a great time here. You, as in y-o-u. You're invited.

So.

If you come to visit, we'll spend at least one morning at Puck's Donuts. Forget Krispy Kreme. Voo Doo Donuts? No, thanks. Even Tim Horton's (shout out to my Canadians) pales in comparison. Puck's is the best and is an Ashland institution. Also, little known fact, Puck's daughter is in Blaine's Kindergarten class, so he's always getting hooked up during class parties!

I'll have a glazed twist. You can have whatever you want. And it's on me. :)

Anne - You probably don't remember me but I'm Jessica Bird Barker's little sister :) Anyway, My husband and I are hoping to move to Oregon (or New Zealand...either would be great) in the next couple of years. Since I'm from Medford, I'm leaning toward that area but I'd love your input! I know this is random, but your blog post just sparked the question, "If she can recommend places to visit, why not places to move?!" :) Thanks! My email is lindseylouhoo at gmail.

Never even heard of them before. We'll have to give them a try some day.

Little known fact about Puck's: In keeping with Ashland's Shakespearean theme, Puck is the namesake of the character from A Midsummer Night's Dream. You can make out the little sprite on the stamp they put on their boxes.
