Congrats to LCM and Katrina, who totally worked Triv Tues. last week!
Yes, it's true--Sandra Bullock is 43. And I, for one, think she looks fab. And yes, it was Demolition Man that first caught the attention of many. Of course, then she starred in Speed with Keanu and she's been a huge star ever since. (By the way, does anyone think Keanu is a good actor? Just wondering. Some of you spoke highly of The Lake House. Should I see it? Will it seem weird that Sandra and Keanu aren't on a bus?)
This week's movie was Flightplan. I thought it was a clever story. What did y'all think of it? It turns out I've turned into a total wussy because parts of it totally freaked me out. What's my issue? It's really not a scary flick.
Of course Flightplan's star is the lovely Jodie Foster.
1. Speaking of scary movies, her absolutely most scary one was in 1991 ("absolutely most scary?" Nice grammar). Do you know what it was and who her mega creepy co-star was? And what her character's name was?
2. What's your favorite Jodie Foster movie? (If anyone says Nell I might have a heart attack.)
3. What was with one of my BYU landlord's being obsessed with his thought that I looked exactly like Jodie Foster? Are you kidding? I really don't think so. Taylor says it's just that we both have distinctive noses. True, true. But seriously, everyone knows I look like Melissa Joan Hart anyway. (wink!)
P.S. I'm sorry if my tone was overly sassy. I hope no one is offended by my quips about Keanu or Nell.

1) Silence of the Lambs. Her name was Clarice Starling ( I am thinking to myself the totally creepy way her co-star Anthony Hopkins would say Clarice) It was one of my few acts of rebellion to watch this movie in the theater, quite probably the most scary thing I have ever seen!
2)I think Silence has to be the best movie of hers. I had to look up her work and only Maverick was another stand out for me.
3) He was crazy. You don't look much alike. (Tone of voice doesn't come across well here, huh?)
PS Keanu is pretty stiff. I think we just always hear his voice as from Bill and Teds.
Silence of the Lambs with Anthony Hopkins. Her name was Clarice.
My favorite is Maverick, hands down. My husband loves Jodie Foster (she's on his Hollywood Top Ten list) and his favorite is Contact.
Maybe your landlord just wanted to wish it true...
I don't know much about Jodie Foster so I really can't even guess at the trivia without cheating! But as for Keanu, bless his heart, he is terrible. He is right up there with Drew Barrymore for me as worst actors ever! The Lake House was silly. I have to confess I no longer can handle really sappy love stories. It must be my very movie-picky husband rubbing off on me.
I do love that old Freaky Friday movie with Jodie though. Excellent flick.
First of all, if you're a wussy, I'm a double wussy with cheese, because I refused to see Flight Plan (Matt watched it without me) based solely on the previews. I just cannot handle a story about a woman who can't find her child.
1. Very creepy. Silence of the Lambs with Anthony Hopkins. Don't know the character's name without looking it up.
2. How about the original Freaky Friday? I remember liking Little Man Tate. Can't think of any others at the moment.
3. Don't see the resemblance, but I'd take it as a compliment if I were you.
Keanu Reeves makes me crazy -- zero acting ability. Laughable. Sorry I had to give you a hard time about Trivial Tuesday -- thanks for coming through.
Okay, I have to say that I wasn't overly fond of Flightplan. I thin we kind of rolled our eyes throughout!
1. I'm going to go with Silence of the Lambs here, co-starring the very creepy Anthony Hawkins!
2. Favorite Jodie Foster movie? Hmm... I'm going to have to go with Little Man Tate, but that's mostly because I was in love with Harry Connick Jr. at the time!
3. I don't think you look too much like Jodie, but MJH is definitely your twin. Did you two plan your pregnancies together this time?!
I don't know the answers to these. I feel like my brain isn't working lately. But I did want to say that you don't look like Jodi Foster, except that you both have fine bone structure...which is a good thing.
I did rock it last week. Go Sandra! Lake House is pretty good even if I don't love Keanu.
1. Silence of the Lambs... so creepy!
2. I realized that even though I totally respect Jodie Foster, none of her movies are huge favs of mine. But I do love her in Maverick and I liked Contact too.
3. I don't really see the resemblance, although I think my mom kinda looks like her. They both have square jaws and similar coloring and such.
Obviously Keaunua is a horrible actor. Have you seen A Walk in the Clouds?
#1-Just a guess, but I would have to say her most scary movie is Silence of the Lambs (Isn't that her? I could look it up online, but I don't want to cheat!) And her sooper-dooper megacreepy co-star was Anthony Hopkins (I saw that movie on TV for the first time last summer--woa, creepy, and it's my dad's fav for some odd reason--english major!) Can't remember her name though...
#2-My fav Jodie Foster is Contact. Family tradition to watch Contact every New Year's Eve.
#3-Funny that your Landlord thought you looked like her, my dad loves Jodie becasue he thinks my mom looks like her, and I don't think you look anything like my mom, so how could you look like Jodie if she looks like mom??
Um, no offence, but I say don't waste your time on the Lake House. I thought it was really cheesy, and I like cheesy chick flicks. Lake House was like cheeze (with a "z.")
i don't know the answers to all the other questions, but I don't think you look like Jodi Foster. But I do think you're Hott (with two T's.)
Anne-I have two favorite movies with jodie foster. One was a disney flick when she was a kid called Candleshoe Mystery. Supper cool movie. The other was Sommersby and I will never forget her sobbing as Richard Gere was hung.
Now, as far a Nell, let's play with the TWEES IN DA WIND some more!
er...super not supper cool!
We missed the Jodi Foster fun...
But CJ, I have to laugh with you about A Walk in the Clouds. HAAAaaahahahaa. Have you seen him in Much Ado About Nothing? Gag.
Anne - and all involved on Saturday: DELIGHTFUL, wonderful shower! THANKS!
Oh, I totally would have known this one! That movie freaked me out. Seriously gross, and I hate it when gifted actors have to play the villain, like Anthony Hopkins.
P.S. Nell WAS a dumb movie.
P.S.S. It was great to see you Saturday. You look awesome!
