My first sale

Photobucket
A few more details on last week's cupcake business...
So my friend, Jessie, called me last Tuesday to ask me if her step-mom could pay me for 3 days of my cupcake services for a fancy event at the Ashland Racquet Club. My first client! We discussed a few possibilities and came up with the following menu for each day:

-mint chocolate chip cupcakes (as featured on Bloom)
-lemon cupcakes with lemon cream cheese frosting, topped with a sugared bluberry
-vanilla cupcakes with vanilla bean buttercream frosting (with a cute little tennis ball topper, made my Jessie!)

It was a lot of work, but so much fun, and they were a hit! I've come a long way since making my first cupcakes 2 summers ago. I'm totally becoming a believer in the "you can do anything you put your mind to..." line of thinking. Of course, within reason...

Ok, tell me this time of year you don't think about an overly zealous older lady with too much makeup and peeling bright pink lipstick that is stuck to her teeth (good old "Shum") from the BYU El Ed Days. Hahaha!

How the heck are you AnneHall? I know it's been a while, but I "ran" into Elizabeth Germany on facebook, and she sent me your direction. Send me an email and I'll invite you to my blog, too (I have a private one cuz my wife's a famous TV star!)
Such a cute little family you have!
