A little bit about Sunday

I made Taylor take this picture with me after we chaperoned a youth dance at our church on New Year's Eve. Nothing like ringing in the new year with four hours of watching teenagers stand around while the All American Rejects are playing. (Actually, it was quite fun. I, of course, got my dance on with all the girls and loved it tremendously.) Chaperoning the dance was my duty, as the president of our Young Women's organization. Taylor obliged. (What choice did he have?)

Then, yesterday, Taylor was called as the president of our Young Men's organization. So, now it's his duty, too.

After a busy day of church meetings, we pulled off a Chicken and Stove-top coup. First dinner and birthday cake (my brother, Brian's) at my family's house. Then, dinner and birthday cupcakes (baby Dean's) at Taylor's family's.

Taylor spent half of Saturday building Brian's cake. Brian is an anesthesiologist.
Slice of epidural, anyone?

Your mom e-mailed this to me and I couldn't wait to see it here! Way to go Taylor. Absolutely amazing. There must be some cake site where you can send this picture!

Wow... that is an awesome cake! And I can't believe that they made you both presidents over the youth! As much as my husband would LOVE to be YM pres again... I don't think we could handle it while I'm YW pres. Best of luck to you!

I showed Taylor's cake to my someday-will-be anesthesiologist husband. We laughed to tears. He needs to be be a special guest on the Food Network's Cake Boss or Ace of Cakes. Perfecto!
P.s. Love your scarf. I have one in brown.
