Back to School Feast 2012

I love the Back to School Feast Tradition.  It sets the stage for this special time of year.  We kept ours pretty short and simple this year...

The boys' crowns were made of felt.  Blaine was a trooper and gave Rog his red one, when Rog proclaimed his disgust for the orange one.

On the menu: lobster tails (requested by Blaine, I kid you  not), rice pilaf, and treats from the garden (both ours and my parents'): zucchini, Armenian cucumber, tomato, and cantaloupe.

 Theme: Matthew 7:12 {essentially "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."}

(trying to listen and understand the theme)

Gifts: BYU gear (we're beginning the indoctrination early)

Are you kidding me! I went to Memory Lane preschool when my parents lived in Ashland!

Sally,

I love it! Memory Lane is the best--Lesley Clason and Cindy Morris?! Can't beat it!

I know this isn't the point of your post, but I just have to say...I love that chair Taylor's sitting on. I'd never recover it.

I love this so much. I am definitely going to do this with my family next year, I think it is such an awesome idea.

Darling, darling boys. It is SO festive and fun that you do this.
I know your boys will remember your efforts in regard to this treasured tradition for many, many years to come.
