Here's who I love: my husband. He is really good at making things fun. Tonight he called in an order to Demae, the best sushi place in these parts (not including The Happy Sumo, which is incredibly delicious but super duper pricey). Demae is especially great on Tuesdays, because they offer each roll for just three dollars! But after Taylor picked up the goods, do you think we just ate it out of its take-out boxes at our kitchen table in our little apartment? Oh no, Taylor arranged it beautifully on a plate, poured some Kikkoman soy sauce in a lovely little ramekin (by the way, don't ever buy any soy sauce other than Kikkoman. You will be sorely disappointed), grabbed our binoculars, told me to grab a jacket, and marched us outside. Why? Because he'd just heard on the radio that the space shuttle Discovery was about to fly overhead. And you know what? The crisp fall air made those shrimp tempura rolls even tastier. And Blaine loved the inari. And we saw a space shuttle.
I love this little family of mine.

I love this little family of yours too!!
CJ stole my comment :)
What a fabulous evening! Isn't life so HAPPY when your family loves each other and loves being together!
(and we've got to check out this 'shooshi' place! 'cause much as we love the happy sumo...our pocket books do not!)
Anne, the only reward I need is to read your lovely blog and enjoy how much random trivia I seem to know! Thanks for being my blog-friend! What a fun little date night/family night activity! Shooshi and space shuttles!
glad your boys are home, and that your bed is no longer empty...looks like a fun party
"Shooshi?" That's darling. And your child, at age one, has a more sophisticated palate than I do.
Oh so fun! I love little family activities! What a great memory.
Anne, I have to add that I saw your husband's blog and I am seriously impressed by him. I like to cook, but I am seriously humbled by your hubby!
Anne..in response to your random question, I worked for plenty of dentist in Ut, but the closest office was in Draper...it might take some thinking...but I will be able to figure out who they were if you still want some names, even though they are far away.
what a fun night!
We had sushi on Friday. Loved it! Love Oh's Osaka here in Medford. Not 3$ but pretty darn good! And I got to tell you this was a pretty neat night for your little family. Loved it!
Anne...oh my goodness. I can't remember how I got here, but I was blog hopping one night and stumbled on your site and thought, "hey, I know them!!!" Look how cute your family is...and it's growing! Congrats!! You are so stinkin' adorable. It will be fun to visit your blog again to keep tabs on you. Love ya.

Isn't life so good? I am glad you think so because so do I! :)
Thank you for making me feel good about being me. I didn't request or even volunteer to have an eleven pound baby (well, maybe I did in the pre-existence...) but I did it and it sure feels good to have him outside my belly and in my arms.
Love you and your sweet family.
