On February 14, 1999 he came over to visit. I had the flu and was wearing my green scrubs. He looked handsome as ever in a blue fleece. He brought me four origami flowers that he had made. They smelled like Pleasures for Men (a fragrance by Estee Lauder). Just like him. Yummmm. We sat in the den on the brown leather love seat and chatted for hours. Before he left he gave me a valentine. It was homemade and impressive. On the front it said "Anne." The inside had a big pop-up heart (eat your heart out, Mr. Sabuda). The only writing inside said: "Will you be my valentine?" I looked again. There was more writing. Down in the bottom right-hand corner it said, "No, really."

I've been gushing ever since.

Can you believe that was almost ten years ago! Crazy. Happy Valentine's Day.

Happy Valentine's Day! Have fun with your hubbie! You two make a lovely couple, and lovely children might I add.

My greatest Valentine EVER was getting Jeff back home from his week long business trip!

P.S. And I am SO excited to have The Office back. We've watched every single episode and I was beginning to lose my memory on what has been happening!

We still have those flowers hanging up by your toe shoes. Lizzie and Sophie always want to play with them but I won't let them - they do play with the toe shoes! Love this post!

I have to take back my previous comment. Doug gave me a pop-up Valentine yesterday, and I don't even think he read your post!

Awww, so cute...don't you just love your life?!?!? I kind of forgot that we never really discussed our Christmas presents, did we? I love that bowl you gave me too, I have used it for two dinner parties we have had....which now that I think about we gave eachother pretty domestic presents, huh? We are growing up! Love you!
